What I Hope to Hear at the Next Protest I go on

What I hope to hear from the next protest I go to.
--------------------
What if one man spoke and said,
. .. . . . ..
If one man holds on to his mortgage payment for 6 months, the bank you helped to bail out will come after him. But what if all the mortgage payments of all the people here .What if each and every one of you held on to your payment. What if two hundred thousand, mortgage holders held back payment. What if they stood as one united in a common cause.
Instead of a single individual trying to negotiate with the nonnegotiable?
Who then I ask would have the power of negotiation.
. .. . . . ..
What if one spoke and said
No member of this society will pay one euro cent to a government that puts bondholders before its people. That not one member of this society will pay water charges to pay bondholders .That no members of any union will partake in the installing of meters. No members of any union will partake in the collection of such charges. That no member of this country be they public sector or private sector worker will pay these charges.
. .. . . . ..
What if one spoke and said
We will not pay a tax on our homes to bail out bondholders and banks that have brought this country and its people to their knees. The roof we struggle to keep over our heads is not for the taking it’s off limits. That no members of any union will pay it or facilitate the collection of this draconian tax we are not the tenant farmers of yester year tipping our caps to a landlord. Nor shall we tip our caps to Europe and the I.M.F.
. .. . . . ..
What if one man said
We are on our knees we can remain there or we can rise up and be united in our struggle. Or we can leave our faith to the government of today and governments of tomorrow. Who are protected from the agony they burden the people with by the bubble of indifference they live within.
Nothing not one line of any agreement made by this or future governments with its people can be trusted by any Irish man woman or child. They have no authority to carry out such agreements unless it’s first approved by Europe. Even the German parliament knew our budget before the people of Ireland. In less than a hundred years of a republic we have gone from British rule to gobshites ruling us to now the German rule.
. .. . . . ..
What if one man said to you
We are a country and a people lost in the darkness of our darkest days. There is no light insight so each and every one of us will be a light a light of resistance to the dismantling of our hopes and dreams. To the enslavement of our children and our children’s children to bankers and bondholders, enslaved to the corruption of a few that destroyed the many.
. .. . . . ..
What if one man said
We will not facilitate the destruction of our dreams and hopes. We will stand together united as one. We will do nothing to help you.
What if that where I
What if we all said it.
