I decided to nominate David Norris on purely democratic grounds. It is obvious that amongst the electorate he is considered a credible candidate. Whilst I don't share David' politics I do respect many of his stances on issues. I make no excuses for some of his mistakes but I also recognise a witch hunt when I see it.  I'm wise enough to know that as humans we are all fallible. I personally don't think we need a president but as long as it is within my power to help people express their democratic preference I'll try my best to facilitate that process.

I am writing to you to ask you to do what is in your power to support Julian Assange of Wikileaks. I am leaving mention of the "rape charges" out of this email, as they are a matter for the courts.
