Protect Irish and International Citizens Sailing to Gaza
Email Campaign to Protect Irish and International Citizens Sailing to Gaza
Dear TD/Senator,
At this moment, two civilian vessels (one Irish and one Canadian) are sailing to the besieged Gaza strip in Palestine. They will sail from international waters directly to Gaza, and will not pass through Israeli territorial waters.
The Gaza strip is one of the most densely populated places on earth. There are 1.5 million people living in an area just 20 miles long and 6 miles wide, literally surrounded by a military who regularly attacks with impunity. It is an ‘open air prison’.
'Bienvenue a Widgery sur-la-mere' The Palmer/Uribe Report: Another Attempt to Whitewash Murder
This is a guest post from Fiachra O'Luain.
As somebody who gave evidence to the UN Panel of Inquiry/Palmer Report, I am requesting that the Irish as well as other European and international governments refuse to recognise the Palmer Report as a genuine investigation. I beseech Europeans to demand of their government that the UNHRC report be acknowledged as the only genuine investigation to date. Messrs. Palmer, Uribe and Trimble have only implicated themselves in the 21st century equivalent of the Widgery Report of the Bloody Sunday massacre and shame on any lawmaker who accepts the false premise that the siege of Gaza is or ever was legal.
We Demand an Independent Investigation into the Sabotage of the MV Saoirse
We, the undersigned, demand a full and, especially, independent investigation into the sabotage of the MV Saoirse, a ship bearing an Irish flag. We deem this act of sabotage to be an act of aggression against the Irish state.
Further, we demand that the perpetrators of this act of sabotage be held accountable in a public manner and if the perpetrators are deemed to be acting as state-actors that at a minimum diplomatic ties be cut with the beligerent state.
Signed,
Email to all Labour TDs re: Richard Humphries's comments on the Free Gaza Flotilla
Dear Labour TD,
I read with amazement, shock and disbelief Richard Humphries's press release about the Free Gaza Flotilla.
What amazed me most of all was not his disdain for those travelling on the flotilla (disgusting and all as this disdain was), but his lack of knowledge surrounding the attacks on last year's flotilla.
